My Graphs on some of them were pretty close to one another because you can guess what the ramps are going to do because of how fast the skateboard was moving off the ramp. The reason they were different is because one graph is just a prediction and on is with an actual points from the video.Where the skateboard begins on the ramps and stops going back down are where the zeros are on the graphs. The three graphs all start at the same point but not at the same height. Two of the three graphs have relative ending zeros but for the third one we do not know if it ever ends. The three graphs have similar starting paths but not ending paths. The graphs rise the fastest at the start when it goes off the ramp and it falls the fastest when it starts going backwards . Graph (A) would mean that when the boy scout hoists the flag he would be going at a constant time and the flag also going up at a constant speed. Graph (B) would mean that the boy scout hoisted the flag really fast then slowed down. Graph (C) means the the boy scout hoists the flag fast the slow then fast then slow again. Graph (D) says the the boy scout started out slow and then picked up the speed. Graph (E) means that the boy scout started out slow then picked up the speed then slowed down. Graph (F) would mean that the boy scout didn't even hoist the flag at all. The most realistic graph would be graph (B) because most people start out fast and then when it gets close to the end they start to slow down. The least realistic graph would be graph (F) because the boy scout didn't even hoist the flag.
In This assignment we took a regular smiley face and used our knowledge of function to create accessories for the smiley face. On my smiley face is put a hat on the face using horizontal and vertical lines and used a formula to stop the lines from going on forever. I put glasses on it using the circle formula and horizontal lines to connect the 2 lines together. I also put a mustache on it using the y=sin(x) formula and put a value in for the x so it would be shorter and stop so it wouldn't go on forever. Then i used the quadratic formula with 3 sliders for the hair. What I found challenging in the assignment was getting the quadratic formula to be where i wanted it using the sliders and also what was challenging in this, was getting the formula's so stop where you needed them to so that they didn't look out of place.
